“Where is the rocket? We want the rocket.”
“Pabida.”
“Most of your focus is at the other projects. Have you pivoted?”
“You are not a businessman.”
Sounds familiar right? These are the voice of confused observers. Observers that are anticipating for a vision to come to life. We understand their sympathies. I know what their words mean. So let me get into the basics first.
OrbitX is formed for a one simple vision - build a commercial equivalent of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA. Since 2019, it was the ultimate goal. Originally, OrbitX was named OrbX but we rebranded to make it more catchy and friendly to pronounce and the project then was to build a jet propulsion system powered by algae. OrbX was a club for geeks before I was encouraged by Luis Arcangel to make it a formal business venture.
From the very beginning, some of the early supporters of OrbitX were informed that we have a chain of projects connected to one another and they know that the objective is to maximize the resources to create a fully working “megaverse”, an interconnected self-fulfilling one stop shop for technological advancements. What we did was to market Haribon to inspire young people. We got the attention of ABS-CBN News Channel multiple times. Media loves huge noise to encourage traffic. Each interview focused on the rocket alone and not the subsidiary projects. Why? Because rockets are more newsworthy. It has more “umph”. I know that because I served as a media practitioner way back 2013 for Radio Veritas 846.
Now, the viewers are both inspired and misinformed. Haribon is the only project that they know. Haribon is the only project that everyone wants. They do not know that OrbitX wants to be a research, engineering and technology development organization having Haribon as the core project.
The concept of “metaverse” is everywhere nowadays considering that Facebook is investing too much into that space. Before Facebook, OrbitX has that concept of building co-existing worlds through physical and digital products but since Facebook has more capital, they are leading the way towards that revolution. To give an idea of what OrbitX is, here is the map:
I will not explain this in detail but as you can see, all projects are connected to each other creating an atom-like shape or an ellipse. This is designed so resources can be maximized and reinvested into other projects that are necessary for the other projects to work. To give an example, most of the proceeds from Orbital Coin went to the development of the blockchain marketplace because we want to make more resources to fund OrbitX Green Fuels (expansion to meet the demands) and the Haribon. We also learned that the avionics needed for Haribon prototyping costs millions of pesos that can be burned if things will go down during tests. In order for us to afford damages, we need to have a better baseline.

Aliens (AOM - Aliens of Malaya) are also present as profile pictures because we have a product introduction for the blockchain marketplace which will enable us to have a bigger pipeline to come in and be reinvested back to Haribon and other auxiliary projects including the virtual equivalent of the megaverse. We will buy or rent a much decent facility so we can have a safe zone for the engineers and the team. We will invite our supporters to come over as well. We can have fun.
We are doing this to experiment with a new strategy that is not yet common here in the Philippines. We want to build layers of solutions that will work seamlessly with one another and can support each other. We all want that rocket to fly. Trust us. We are building the foundations. Trust the process. We will do our best to ensure that we will succeed. We are committed and we never pivoted. We are strategizing and we will adapt. Adapting is surviving and surviving is winning.
